Nigerian striker Quadri Kola is set to leave relegated side Forest Rangers following the expiration of his contract.

Kola joined Forest in January 2020 from city rivals Zesco United.

The Nigerian forward has been a key player for Forest, playing a pivotal role in helping the team win their first-ever ABSA Cup in 2023 and securing qualification for the CAF Confederation Cup.

In the recently concluded MTN Super League season, Kola scored seven goals and provided five assists, finishing as the club’s top scorer. However, it was not enough to keep Forest in the top flight.

The former Zesco United striker consistently ended each of the past three seasons as Forest’s leading goal scorer.

According to BolaNews sources, Kola has attracted interest from several Super League sides and could be on the move.

“He has been approached by Kabwe Warriors and Zanaco, along with several other teams who have expressed interest in him. He is yet to make a final decision, as he is still in talks with the clubs,” said the source.

“His contract came to an end with Forest Rangers and he could be signed as a free agent.”

Forest were relegated to the National Division One League after finishing 16th in the league standings with 38 points from 34 matches. They are expected to lose most of their top performers to Super League teams.
