Air Power Football Club goalie George Mwansa says his team’s advancement to the ABSA Cup preliminary round is a dream come true.
The Zambia Air Force sponsored side qualified for the competition after topping the FAZ Central Provincial Division One League.

In an interview, Mwansa, 21 said he had always dreamed of playing in the ABSA Cup competition.
“It’s really a great feeling considering this has been the biggest club competition in the country, and at the beginning of my career, I dreamt of taking part in the competition,” Mwansa said.
Mwansa has so far kept nine clean sheets in 15 matches, conceding six in the league.

“There is stiff competition from the club with the goalkeeping department, but the competition is working to the advantage of the team because we are producing the results, and as a club, we have conceded the least goals in the league,” Mwansa stated.
Mwansa says the team will not shift attention from their main target, which is qualifying for the National League playoffs.
