Just a like her compatriot, Kabange Mupopo, Copper Queens striker Racheal Nachula, could become a two-sport Olympian.

The two players have participated in the Olympics as track and field athletes and are now heading to the Paris edition as footballers.

Nachula advanced to the semifinals of the 2008 Beijing athletics track women’s 400-meter competition sixteen years ago.

However, her dream of becoming a two-sport Olympian is now hanging on a thin thread.

The 38-year-old is one of Bruce Mwape’s four backup choices outside the the 18-player roster leading up to the Olympics in Paris this year.

Other alternative players include, goalkeeper, Eunice Sakala, Vast Phiri and Marry Wilombe.

Her chance to fulfil her dream of participating in Olympic football can now only become reality if there will be an illness or injury among the players in the 18-member squad.
