Zambian midfielder Grace Chanda has agreed to a deal that will last through the 2025 season, with a mutual option for 2026 on a free transfer from Madrid CFF, BolaNews understands.

Chanda will become the third Zambian player to join the NWSL, following Racheal Kundananji, who signed for Bay FC for a world record fee, and Barbra Banda, who is also at Orlando Pride.

Reliable sources close to the deal have revealed that the midfielder will officially join the Pride after the 2024 Paris Olympics where she will participate with the Copper Queens.

It is understood that the club believes Chanda’s versatility will bring more depth to the team.

The Pride have gone unbeaten in the NWSL this season, winning a record eight of their past eleven games and drawing only three to lead the rankings with 27 points.

Banda, who they signed in March, has already scored eight goals and assisted twice in seven appearances.

Chanda will be excited to link up with her national team captain in Orlando, as the agreement is now finalized and she is just waiting for the official announcement expected tomorrow.
