At Lusaka’s Nationalist Stadium, Green Buffaloes WT defeated ZSID 2-0 in the season finale. Maweta Chilenga scored the game’s first goal just seconds in, while the visiting team also scored an own goal.

Zesco finish second

In Ndola, Zesco Ndola Girls defeated Zanaco Girls by 2-0 to finish second in the league with 87 points. Fridah Kabwe and Avell Chitundu were the scorers for the home side.

Maylan Mulenga of the Green Buffaloes, who has scored 25 goals this season, will win the Golden Boot in the Zambian Women’s Super League.

By surpassing last season’s total of 24 goals—four fewer than the winner, Xiomala Mapepa, who scored 28 goals—the striker has set a new personal record.

Closing following Maylan was Charity Mubanga of Zesco Ndola Girls striker Charity Mubanga, Green Eagles’ Racheal Moono, and Lungowe Namasiku of ZISD FC, all sitting on 24 goals

It has been a tough period to endure for Mubanga, who has scored just once in the last 10 matches for the ZESCO Ndola Girls, who were contending for the league title against Green Buffaloes.
