EXCLUSIVE: Dynamos after Highlanders defender

Dynamos are linked with Highlanders defender Peter Muduhwa, a move that could be a shocker if it materializes.

Dynamos are looking forward to boosting their squad as they are going to have a dance in the African Safari.

Historically, the two teams share a big rivalry and the match between the two clubs is regarded as the battle of Zimbabwe.

The club is also reported to have secured the services of Obrey Chirinda from Bulawayo Chiefs, who will be unveiled as a new Dynamos player on January 1.

Muduhwa is regarded as one of the best center-backs in the local league. In the past, players have switched sides but it was seen as betrayal by the fans.

But at the moment, Highlanders are facing a likely player exodus as they will have a rebuilding process spearheaded by Zambian coach Kevin Kaindu.

Dynamos want to take advantage of player exodus at Highlanders

A close source to Dynamos told Bola News:

“The club is highly considering bringing in Muduhwa. He is highly rated within the club and can be a big addition ahead of the African Safari.

“Of course, the club understands that the defense was one of the strongest departments in the entire season and conceded fewer goals throughout the season in the league but are now convinced there is a need to add an experienced player.

“The club understands Muduhwa will bring a whole different dimension to the whole setup. He has a lot of experience and can be useful for the club in the CAF Confederation Cup. He got the height, the power, and the agility that is needed.

“The club’s executive, despite being reluctant on the move, their coach (Genesis Mangombe) has made huge recommendations and they have decided to work on the deal. Mangombe is believed to have positive talks with the player.

“The club is quite aware that there is going to be a player exodus at Highlanders after the arrival of a new coach who is going to spearhead a rebuilding process at the club.”
