All roads today lead to Ndola’s Levy Mwanawasa Stadium where Zambia is hosting Congo Brazzaville in the opener of their 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers. Both sides are chasing their respective maiden World Cup appearances.
Congo Brazzaville coach Isaac Ngata is positive ahead of the match and he believes his side has what it takes to silence the Chipolopolo boys on home soil.
“Even if I have 1% chance, I’ll do anything to win,” claims Ngata.
Ngata however revealed during a briefing held in Congo that he will do anything it takes to upset the Chipolopolo.
The 57-year-old Congolese trainer also added that his players have all the attributes of standing tall-to-tall with the Copper Bullets.
“The first asset we have is will and determination,” he said.
“The little I saw in training gave me a little confidence. We shall fully utilize the abilities and opportunities we have,” he added.
Despite holding his team in high esteem, Ngata was full of praise for the 2012 AFCON Champions.
“Zambia is a regular team that has some players who have been playing together since 2013 and others have just arrived,” he stated.
“It is painful, but I think Zambians will receive is what they least expect us,” he added.
Meanwhile his opposite number Avram Grant has also declared his charges read for the game.
