Tottenham are set to complete a 6 month loan signing for Timo Werner from RB Leipzig this week. Skysports have reported. Spurs also have the option to buy the forward for £15m at the end of the loan move.

The Germany international will have to undergo a medical this week before the deal is announced. Werner won the Champions League when he was at Chelsea. However, he has been hit with injuries since returning to RB Leipzig and has struggled to score goals. He has scored just two goals in eight appearances for Leipzig this this season.
Ange Postecoglou is without his talisman Son Heung-Min. The Korean international was called up by the national team to compete in the Asian Cup. The 27-year-old will bring in an alternative attacking option as he can play off the left and through the middle as well.
