After securing Premier Soccer League survival on the last day of the 2025 Castle Lager campaign, Dynamos FC head coach Kelvin Kaindu has commended his players for their tenacity.
DeMbare finished 13th on 39 points, two points above the drop zone, following a tense goalless draw against FC Platinum on Sunday.
Kaindu, who took over in July, masterminded an unbeaten run in his 11 matches in charge, collecting 19 crucial points that lifted the Harare giants out of danger. His first match was a 1–0 victory over MWOS, a result that sparked their late-season revival.
Speaking after the match, Kaindu admitted that taking the Dynamos job at such a perilous time was a brave move many questioned.
“We showed a lot of resilience; we started picking up points, and we knew that God was not going to let us down on the last day,” he said.
The coach added that he had assured the players of their destiny even before the final whistle.
“I give credit to the team” – Kaindu.
“Whatever that was going to be here, either we lose or draw, we are going to remain in the Premier League. And I give credit to the team; they have worked extremely hard for us to be where we are.”
Kaindu also opened up about the difficulty of accepting the role at a time when Dynamos seemed doomed.

He joined Dynamos after being dismissed by Highlanders in June.
“It was a very difficult decision for me to take up this job, looking at the position where Dynamos was, and everybody thought I was crazy, but it was a matter of faith. At the end, faith has shown the action, and Dynamos has remained in the Premier League,” he declared.
He now turns to silverware as DeMbare prepares for Saturday’s Chibuku Cup final against Triangle United, with a CAF Confederation Cup spot awaiting the winner.
