The Zambian Premier League (ZPL) has announced that it has met its financial obligations for the season, paying out the full amount of K1.2 million to each of the MTN Super League clubs.
ZPL has also disclosed that it has completed the second round of sponsorship fund disbursements to the Eden University Women’s Super League team as well as the Men’s National League clubs, which were fully compensated for the season.
Each MTN Super League clubs were paid in two installments of K600,000 during the season’s first and second rounds. Following Eden University’s sponsorship, teams in the Women’s Super League are now entitled to K100,000 each, which is paid in two installments.
Zambian Premier League Chief Executive Officer Joseph Chimpampwe confirmed the completion of payments.
“So far, as the Zambian Premier League, we would like to report that after our strategic partners fulfilled their obligations, we immediately paid all the teams. All 36 teams in the Super League, both men and women, are fully paid,” Chimpampwe said.
Meanwhile, the ZPL Women’s National League teams have not yet received their final payments, but ZPL Men’s National League clubs have each received their full K100,000 allocation.
