ZB increases Charity Shield sponsorship to K500,000

Fans will decide the starting XI for Power Dynamos and Forest Rangers who will compete in this year's Charity Shield match as Zambia Breweries increases sponsorship deal.

Zambia Breweries (ZB) under Carling Black Label have increased their sponsorship for the 2023 Samuel ‘Zoom’ Ndhlovu Charity Shield.

Michelle Kilpin, the company’s country director, announced the development on Friday at the 2023 Charity Shield’s official lunch in Lusaka.

“Zambian Breweries proudly announces today its partnership with the Football Association of Zambia for the Carling Black Label Samuel Zoom Ndhlovu Charity Shield game. This marks the second consecutive year of our sponsorship, with a contribution of over half a million Kwacha at this year’s edition,” said Kilpin.

The sponsorship for the Zambian Super League curtain-raiser has increased from K250,000 to K500,000, Bolanews was told in a seperate interview by ZB.

Forest Rangers and Power Dynamos, who won the ABSA Cup and the Super League, respectively, will compete for the prize on August 12, 2023.

ZB has also revealed that fans will bselect the starting eleven for both teams via the company’s website.

This will be the first time it will be happening in the history of the competition.
