Zambian Super League side Zanaco FC has signed Malawian midfielder Robert Gomez Saizi after a successful two-week trial.
Sources close to the player in Malawi have confirmed to BolaNews that the player has penned a two-and-a-half-year deal with Zanaco from Bangwe All-Stars.
The two clubs have agreed on an amount of MK13.5 million (around K210,721.74 Zambian Kwacha) for the player.
According to a clause in the agreement, if Zanaco decides to sell the player, Bangwe is entitled to a 20% share of the proceeds.
The 20-year-old winger has been in high demand in Malawi after a strong start to the elite league, scoring nine league goals and four assists.
He will reunite with his Malawian compatriot, Chawanangwa Kaonga, who is at the club for a third season.
Saizi will also be the third Malawian player to play in Zambia league, following Chifundo Mphasi and Kaonga.
In Malawi, Saizi turned down an offer from champions FCB Nyasa Big Bullets in 2022, saying the club wanted him to join their reserve side.

Mighty Mukuru Wanderers were another club that approached Saizi about a permanent deal this year, but the deal fell through due to interest from Zanaco.
