Forest Rangers put on a five-star performance in the Ndola Darby, defeating Buildcon 5-0. A brace each from Quadri Kola and Moyela Libamba plus a goal from Moro Amenu ensured that the Ian Bakala-coached side jumped into second place in the league standings with 34 points, while Buildcon remain rock bottom of the Zambian Super League with only 7 points.
Power Dynamos 0-0 Green Eagles
In Kitwe, after being thwarted to a scoreless draw by Green Eagles, league leaders Power Dynamos drew their third straight game today. However, the Kitwe-based side continues to lead the standings with a four-point advantage over the second-place team.
FC MUZA 2-1 Chambishi
FC Muza defeated Chambishi 2-1 in their own backyard this afternoon, registering a commanding 2-1 away victory. The outcome means that the team led by Lameck Banda is now level on points with second placed Forest Rangers. Meanwhile, Emmanuel Manda and Andrew Piri scored for Muza, while Eddy Sinyangwe scored for Chambishi.
Napsa Stars 1-0 Lumwana Radiants
At Heroes Stadium in Lusaka, Napsa Stars continued with their fine form after winning their fourth consecutive game when they beat visiting Lumwana Radiants 1-0. Musonda Kapembwa got the all-important goal in the 11th minute for the pensioners, who occupy the sixth position in the standings with 30 points. Lumwana remains in the bottom four on the table with 22 points.
Kansanshi Dynamos 0-0 Red Arrows
In North-western, Kansanshi Dynamos played to a goalless draw with the defending champions, the Red Arrows, who are now winless in six games and ranking 8th in the standings with 28 points. The Mabanga Boys on the hand, are 11th with 25 points.
Green Buffaloes 0-0 Nchanga Rangers | Zanaco 3-2 Nkana
At Sunset stadium in Lusaka, Green Buffaloes played out to a goalless draw against Nchanga Rangers while in the second game of the day at the same venue, Zanaco beat Nkana 3-2, Abraham Sinakombo, , and Francis Mustafa and Stephen Chilu’s own goal were for The Bankers to secure victory against Kalampa whose two goals in the match were scored by Bob Chansa.
Zanaco moved to 31 points to sit in 5th position in the standings while Nkana is in 13th with 23 points after week 20.
