Nkana FC lost by a goal to nil to visiting Kabwe Warriors, recording its second straight loss in the Zambian Premier Super League.
Field Kandela scored in the 24th minute and that happened to be the only goal of the game at Nkana Stadium on Saturday.
Before this game, Nkana were looking to recover from the 1 – 0 loss they suffered against Green Buffaloes.
However, things did not go to script as Warriors, who are coming from a 4-0 win over Nkwazi were not in a mood to give favours.
It is now two losses out of two games for Nkana, a far cry from the good form they had showed prior to these to games.
Nkana has not lost a game since November 2025.
Nkana head coach, Mwenya Chipepo described the home defeat as disappointing.
“We are disappointed, losing two games in a row. Especially that we have lost at home, everyone is not happy. I don’t want to condemn my players, it is one of those things in football, you score some and miss some. Today, we missed a lot of chances but look at Kabwe Warriors. But we’ll come back, the guys are playing good football despite not converting our chances” Chipepo said.
They will now shift attention to their next game against Green Eagles.
