Wedson Nyirenda, a man who once enjoyed scoring goals, is frustrated to witness his strikers at Zanaco unable to capitalize on opportunities to score.
In his prime, Nyirenda was a goal poacher for the South African sides Kaizer Chiefs, as well as Nchanga Rangers, and Power Dynamos of Zambia.

Yesterday, the team recorded a disappointing scoreless draw against Power Dynamos at Sunset Stadium in the capital. While he was okay with a point, Nyirenda was not impressed with his attackers.
He was short of wishing he was in Osward Mutapa’s shoes stating that Power players would have buried the chances that Zanaco created.
“We do not have the knack to kill the game,” he said in a post-match interview, “out of those chances that we had…we broke on the transition three times, [but] we could not use it.
Zanaco have scored 20 goals in 26 matches played so far this season.
“The second half again we broke very well, two crosses [but] people could not finish! If it was Power Dynamos having those chances I think they could have buried [those chances]. So that is the difference, we need to work more on clinical finishing,” Nyirenda said.
