After six matches in charge, George Lwandamina lost his first match as Nchanga Rangers head coach on Saturday afternoon.
The Chingola side went down 2-0 to FC MUZA at Nakambala Stadium in Mazabuka.
Coming from a 1-0 win over Power Dynamos, Nchanga Rangers failed to record a consecutive win on the road as they succumbed to a defeat.
In the post-match, first assistant coach Boyd Mulwanda said that the team missed scoring chances, especially in the first half.
Mulwanda states that the overall performance was good despite the team conceding on two occasions.
“It’s a bad result for us, this is not what we expected,” Mulwanda said. “Overall, the performance was okay by the boys. We missed a lot of scoring chances, it’s only that the penalty we allowed disturbed our game plan.”
Mulwanda has urged the team to put the result behind them and start preparing for the next matches after the mid-season break.
“The way forward is for the boys to come out of this loss and prepare for the next game that’s coming after the break. I think everyone is focused and from this game we have learned a lesson,” he stated.
He added, “From the time the coach took over, we have not lost any game. This is the first game we have lost, so I think the most important thing is how we are going to react after this game.”
