Nkwazi played out to a goalless stalemate against Green Buffaloes in a Week 18 fixture at Edwin Imboela Stadium on Saturday.
High-flying Nkwazi failed to extend their winning momentum after failing to register a win against a determined Green Buffaloes side.
The policemen came into this game high on confidence after they defeated FC Leopards 2-0 in their previous fixture.
The Lusaka-based side has managed to win three games, draw nine, and lose six games.
Reacting to the result, Nkwazi Football club head coach Masauso Tembo expressed his disappointment.
“Yeah, I think, like I said yesterday, there is no away game, there is no home game. It’s always tough anywhere; it’s just the attitude. If you go in with the right attitude, you get the result,” he said.
“But I think it’s a disappointing result; we really wanted the three points. Like I said, consistency is very important, but the way we started, I think we started well. We tried to keep the ball, but in the second half, I think George had a knock. I think that one disturbed us a bit when George came out. Then we brought in Bernard. I think he didn’t come to the party,” said the coach.
Nkwazi currently occupies 14th place with 18 points from 18 games played so far.
“We go back, we see the videos, but we need to work more; we need to work more. If you look at the game, I think we created chances in the first half. This game was being won in the first half, but it’s gone, and we look forward to the next game,” noted Tembo.
On Wednesday, Nkwazi will host an in-form Kitwe giants, Nkana in their next Super League fixture. Kalampa have gone eight matches unbeaten.
