Sydney Kasanda, a recently recruited defender for Nchanga Rangers Football Club, is getting along well with his new side.
The former FC MUZA defender left the Mazabuka-based team with a number of achievements, such as participation in the 2023 ABSA Cup final, the CAF Confederation Cup, and the 2024 ABSA Cup semifinals.
The hard-tackling Kasanda signed a long-term contract with the Brave Rangers, according to Nchanga Rangers president Shapi Shachinda.
The addition of River Plate’s Mike Mambepa and Kasanda, Shachinda continued, will increase player competition.
“Their skills and experience will undoubtedly enhance our squad’s depth and competitiveness. We are committed to building a strong team that will make our fans proud, and these signings are a significant step towards achieving that goal,” Shachinda said during the unveiling of the players.
The center back has called on the Nchanga Rangers fanbase to rally behind the team when the season gets underway.
“I’m adapting very well to the team. Training is going very well, and the team is in high spirits,” he said.
“The fans have to come in numbers to support us; we know what they want from us, and we will work very hard,” Kasanda concluded.
