At Konkola stadium, home side Konkola Blades shocked league depending champions, Power Dynamos with 2–1 win in their Zambian Premier league transitional league opening fixture on Saturday.
Clive Biyeta opened the scores in the opening minute, with a composed finish to beat Chipolopolo boys keeper, Willard Mwanza.
Four minutes before halftime, Power Dynamos defender Kondwani Chiboni was stretchered off following an injury.
In search of an equalizer, the visitors made a change at the interval, with captain Salulani Phiri paving way for Wilson Chisala.
Other changes saw Andy Boyeli and Owen Tembo introduced for Frederick Mulambia and Linos Makwaza Jr, but the scores remained the same.
However, in the 82nd minutes, Aba Yellow won a penalty when Jackson Mulambia was brought down inside the box.
Amine Hiver converted the resulting spot-kick but minutes later, Konkola Blades restored the lead through an own goal by Wilson Chisala.

Next, the defending champions will host Nchanga Rangers at Arthur Davies Stadium as both sides hope to bounce back from their disappointing start this coming weekend.
The contest between the two sides will see Chipolopolo boys interim coach George Lwandamina (Nchanga Rangers head coach) facing his national team assistant Oswald Mutapa.
