Shapi Shachinda has resigned as president of the Nchanga Rangers football club, effective immediately.
Shachinda replaced Paston Nyirenda in 2019 and has been instrumental in the Club’s comeback to competitive football.
While in office, he and his executive team were able to rebrand the club’s jersey, buy a new teak bus, and qualify for the 2024 ABSA Cup competition.
Brave Nchanga Rangers also qualified for the Super League twice in a row.
After training, Shachinda spoke to the players and urged them to put in extra effort and revive the Club’s heyday.
“Committment to training. Work hard and be loyal to the club. I wish you well let’s work hard we return our super league division status and next year we end in the top four and win a trophy then the other season we start gunning for the league title,”he said.
“Be disciplined I have seen players who have risen to play for the national team they have only played six games for Zambia they are out, it comes down to discipline and personal commitment,”added Shachinda.
On Sunday, Nchanga will play Forest Rangers at Nchanga Stadium in a Week 14 Super League Fixture.
