Zambian Premier League defending champions, Red Arrows football Club captain, Saddam Yusuf Phiri says the Airmen are ready to redeem themselves when they face Nkwazi on Saturday.
Arrows will welcome Nkwazi in a Week Nine league fixture, in what promises to be an entertaining match at Lusaka’s Nkoloma Stadium.
The Chisi Mbewe-side is coming from the back of a 1-0 defeat suffered at the hands of NAPSA Stars last weekend.
Arrows have not been consistent this season as they are occupying the 10th place with 11 points collected from 7 matches played so far.
The army sponsored side has managed to register three victories, two draws and lost twice in the 2024-25 campaign.
Speaking to the Club’s media ahead of the match, Captain Phiri feels the team has prepared adequately to collect the much needed three points.
“The team ready to give their all on the pitch, but they will need the passionate cheers and chants from the stands to do the job on the field,”he said.
The defending Champions will need to make amends against Nkwazi, in their quest to defend the league title.
Previous encounters between the two sides show that Arrows have dominance over Nkwazi in the recent two meetings played, but pundits doubt if the supremacy will continue this time around.
