After defeating Zanaco 1-0 at Nkoloma Stadium, Red Arrows won their third Zambian Super League title | Red Arrows Facebook page .

With two games remaining, Red Arrows completed a league double by winning the 2024–25 Zambian Super League.

After winning the ABSA Cup last weekend, the Chisi Mbewe team knew that a victory over Zanaco or a draw would be sufficient to seal their third league crown in history.

The title confirmation was cemented when Zesco United were unable to collect maximum points from visiting Forest Rangers at home.

This meant that, should the Ndola-based team win its next two league games, Zesco United, the seven-time Zambian Champions, would only be able to secure 62 points, falling short of the 67 points that Arrows have already secured by defeating Zanaco by a goal to nil.

The result came following a 1-0 triumph at Nkoloma Stadium over its neighbor in the Week 32 must-win fixture. The home crowd erupted into wild celebration as Ackim Mumba scored in the opening minute of the game.

Now that Arrows have secured a spot in the CAF Champions League, there are three teams vying for the second position.

Zesco (56) with two matches left, Power Dynamos (52) two matches left, and FC MUZA (49) four matches left.

Konkola Blades need to dig deep to survive.

In today’s fixtures, Power Dynamos were unable to break down an already relegated Trident, resulting in a goalless draw. Elsewhere, Zesco United settled for a point against Forest Rangers in the Ndola derby.

The battle for relegation is still fierce and unexpected. With a 2-0 victory over the Green Eagles, Prison Leopards earned themselves a chance at survival, scoring 32 points. Given their 38-point maximum point total, their future in the league is in doubt.

In other league action, Konkola Blades suffered their second straight defeat, losing 1-0 to Mufulira Wanderers.

This situation guarantees Mufulira Wanderers’ place in the Super League, while Konkola Blades will have to work very hard to avoid being demoted to lower league football.
