Twelve players were released by Power Dynamos prior to the 2024–25 Zambian Super League season, including their captain, Godfrey Ngwenya, and league top scorer, Andy Boyeli, who led Power to league title in the 2022–23 season.
Ngwenya signed with the Red Arrows, the 2023–24 league winners, while Boyeli joined Sekhukhune United Football Club, a South African team.
Joshua Mutale, a speedy winger, also joined Simba Sporting Club, one of Tanzania’s biggest teams.
In a bid to reinforce and replace some of those key players who have left, Aba Yellow have gone on the market to recruit.
Bolanews understands that the Kitwe based side are the front-runners to secure the signature of Zambia U17 international Sikanje Siame. Siame, 18 of Sporting Lusaka impressed during his loan spell at Konkola Blades.
According to reports, Zanaco FC, Kabwe Warriors, Prison Leopards, and Kansanshi Dynamos are a few of the teams eager to sign Siame.
However, it is Power Dynamos who are emerging as the leading contenders with sources revealing that the player has reported at Arthur Davies Stadium ahead of a potential transfer.
The enterprising young star was part of the Zambia U17 national team that participated in the Africa Cup of Nations in Algeria, where he impressed many Zambian supporters with his solid performances in defense.
