Zambian super league champions, Power Dynamos prior to the 2023–24 league season, expected to start on August 19, 2023, have continued to step up their preparations.
Dynamos are now preparing for the next 2023–24 season and the CAF Champions League by holding their preseason training camp in Mongu, Western Zambia.
Dynamos were without their head coach Mwenya Chipepo who was on national team duty at the Cosafa tournament, which finished last Sunday with the Chipolopolo Boys defeating Lesotho to lift the trophy.

Dynamos’ Executive Committee member and team delegation leader Masauso Lungu told Hope FM in a radio interview that the team’s main objective this season will be to defend the title and win the CAF Championship trophy.
“What we want is to be champions, even this season. We are again resolved as a team that we are going to defend the league and we want to hand over the trophy to ourselves. Our aim is to first qualify for the group stages[of CAF Champions League]….. And go all the way to win the second title at the Continental level.
“We are not just going there to participate, but to compete and ensure we shatter our own record of being the only Zambian Club to win the Continental Trophy twice,” said Lungu.
