Nowell Phiri, FC MUZA coach, believes a 2-2 result recorded on the road against Nkwazi is not bad, as they faced a determined and tough side.
High Flying Nkwazi and FC MUZA settled for 2-all draw in a Week 15 ZPL fixture at Edwin Imboela Stadium on Saturday.
Bridger Ng’andu put the visitors ahead in the 2nd minute, before Chanda Chileshe made it two for the Elegant Dynamites.
However, Nkwazi quickly pulled one back through Christopher Zulu in the 81st minute via a penalty to bring back the home side in the game.
Bernard Kumwenda leveled matters seven minutes later to force a draw for the home side.
The draw result has left FC MUZA stuck in fifth place with 24 points from 15 matches played so far.
After today’s fixture, FC MUZA have managed to win six games, drawn six, and only lost three matches.
Addressing journalists after the match, Phiri admitted that his team drifted off after scoring two goals.
“The game was a tough game; we knew playing Nkwazi was not going to be easy. It was good that we scored two goals early, and the moment we made some changes, I think we went sleeping for a moment,” he said.
“Well, I think it’s the name of the game. The moment you make mistakes, they capitalize, and then you are in trouble. I think a point away from home is a plus to us,” added Phiri.
FC MUZA now shift attention to their next match against 13 times, Zambian champions, Nkana next weekend.
