Green Eagles Football Club has officially announced the appointment of Perry Mutapa as the new head coach, replacing Kebby Hachipuka, who has been redeployed by the Zambia National Service.
Mutapa, takes over the reins at a crucial time for the Choma-based club. Best known for guiding NAPSA Stars to the 2022 ABSA Cup title—where he was named Coach of the Tournament.
Mutapa brings a wealth of experience to the Green Eagles dugout. He has also coached Forest Rangers, Power Dynamos, and Lusaka Dynamos.
In a statement, the club said: “Coach Perry Mutapa is a proven winner who brings both the tactical know-how and the motivational power to inspire success. His experience as a player and coach at the highest level is exactly what Green Eagles needs as we aim to reclaim our position among the country’s elite and pursue continental football once again.”
The club also extended its gratitude to outgoing coach Kebby Hachipuka for his service.
Fans and stakeholders are being urged to support the new coach as the club embarks on a new era under his leadership.
