Atletico Lusaka Football Club has urged its supporters to behave appropriately in their Week 6 MTN Super League match against record league winners Nkana Football Club.

The highly anticipated match is scheduled for Sunday, September 29, 2024, at Nkoloma Stadium.

The Bad Boys have six points, which is equal to Nkana’s tally, with one win, three draws, and one defeat.

The newly promoted team has amassed a sizable following due to their style of play. The club has adopted a neat passing style of football similar to the popular Tik Tika, which has earned praise from local fans.

In anticipation of a large turnout from both sides for the match, the club management has issued a circular warning to its newly formed fan base to avoid using provocative language with the visiting team’s supporters on matchday.

“As our game versus Nkana approaches, we want to remind you that we understand the level of passion that football evokes in people; with that in mind, we would like to reiterate that this club has values that also extend to our supporters,” the circular read in part. “We encourage our supporters to refrain from insulting the opponents and their fans; such and violent behavior in general is not in alignment with the values we uphold.”

The home supporters have been reminded to support the team regardless of the result at the end of the match.

“Furthermore, we support the boys and stick by their side even if and when we don’t get our desired result,” the club said.
