Napsa Stars football Club striker, Musonda Kampembwa is targeting a National team call-up and has set a goal of scoring 18 goals next season.
Musonda, who joined the Pensioners prior to the 2019/20 season, has been the club’s top scorer for the last two seasons.
The 28-year-old was Napsa’s leading scorer last season, with 10 goals and one assist. He is looking to replicate that performance in 2023-24.
Meanwhile, despite having impressed in previous seasons, Musonda has never played for the senior national team. He has only played for the U17 and U20 national teams in 2013 and 2015.
In Napsa stars’s latest newsletter, Musonda stated that he is pleased with his progress each season and that he will work hard to meet his target of scoring 18 goals next season.
“It was a competitive season and I am happy that I am improving,” he was quoted as saying. “Coming out second top scorer for a second consecutive season is motivating for me.”
