Napsa Stars First Assistant Coach Lawrence Lubinda says that his team are ready to record their first win of the season at home when they host newly-promoted Nchanga Rangers.

Rangers who have won the Zambian Super League title, two-times whave made a good start to their campaign on their return to the MTN FAZ Super League.

Speaking in a pre-match interview, Lubinda stated that the technical bench has done all that is needed to prepare the team.

“Preparations have been well. We know it’s a big game, we haven’t won at home. We know it’s a tricky and tough game ahead of us, but preparations have been well. The boys need total concentration“

Napsa Stars go into this weekend’s fixture following a hard-fought 1-1 draw away to Green Eagles in Choma, which marked their second draw of the season in the opening five matches of the 2024/25 campaign. Lubinda believes that the Choma result will provide a confidence boost for his side.

“We are aiming for a victory”- Lubinda.

“Eagles result gives us hope that we can play a better game and get points. With a point away from Choma, I think it is a bit of motivation going into Nchanga Rangers game. Remember before Eagles game, we came from two losses at home“

He also took a moment to appeal to the Napsa Stars faithful, expressing appreciation for their support and calling for their continued encouragement in the upcoming game.

“We are looking forward that we are going to have a good game. We need to tell the fans that we really appreciate their effort and we really love them. Without them, it’s going to be difficult. We need them to cheer us all the way“

Napsa Stars have won only once this season, with that victory coming in a 1-0 away win over Nkwazi FC. At home, they have struggled, with two losses.

The match against Nchanga Rangers will present another test, as the newly-promoted side has won twice, drawn once, and lost on two occasions so far this season.

The match is set for Sunday, September 29th, at Reiz Arena Stadium in Lusaka.
