Super league side NAPSA Stars Football Club has appointed former Mufulira Wanderers coach Tenant Chilumba as the club’s new technical director.
The Sipho Mumbi drilled side is sitting two lots above the relegation zone with 15 points from 14 league matches played so far. NAPSA Stars have only registered two wins, lost 5 times, with 6 draws.
Before the league went on recess due to the ongoing 2025 AfCON, NAPSA Stars beat Kabwe Warriors 2-0 at REIZ Arena.
Acting Chief Executive Officer Brenda Chota said the decision followed a careful review of the club’s technical needs after the position remained vacant for a long period.
“Napsa Stars has had this position vacant for some time, and we are confident that Tenant’s vast technical experience makes him the right fit for the role,” Chota said.
She explained that “Chilumba will provide strategic and technical leadership, support player and youth development, enhance coaching philosophy, and improve football systems and recruitment processes“
