Power Dynamos coach Oswald Mutapa is worried by his team’s low scoring ratio days before they start their Champions League group stage run.
Power has scored 11 goals in the last 10 matches in all competitions, an average of just slightly above a goal per game.
Drawn in Group A of the Champions League alongside heavyweight Pyramid FC, RS Berkane, and Rivers United, Power will need a sharp front line to stand a chance.
Mutapa, who watched his side beat Zesco United 1-0 in a rescheduled Week 5 match yesterday, expressed concern at his goal-shy strikers.
“Worried about the scoring ratio…but this is football. You are about to miss other chances and score some,” Mutapa said.
Mutapa was, however, impressed with his team’s discipline at the back.
“We have kept clean sheets in the last three games, but like I said earlier on, when you create 10 chances, score about three or half of them but just one…anything can happen and this is something we spoke about with the players. We need to bury games.”
