Zanaco FC head coach Numba Mumamba has challenged his side to bounce back to winning ways when they face defending champions Power Dynamos FC on Wednesday afternoon at Arthur Davies Stadium.
The Bankers head into the fixture on the back of three consecutive defeats across all competitions, a run that has seen them slip to seventh place on the league table with 42 points from 27 matches.
Following their elimination from the 2026 ABSA Cup, Zanaco are now focused on finishing the league campaign strongly and keeping their top-four ambitions alive.
Speaking to the club’s media, Mumamba said the team is motivated and eager to make amends after the recent poor run.
“We have prepared accordingly; we have done our preparations, and the team is looking set for Power Dynamos. This is a game that is going to be an interesting one; the players are motivated, looking forward to the Power Dynamos game,” he said.
“Otherwise we have gone three games in a row in a losing streak, but this is the time for us to make amends; we know Power. They are the defending champions, and they are winning games week in, week out. But looking at the players that we have, with the preparation that we have done, we have a team that can go and win at Power Dynamos. The confidence is very good in the team; everyone is excited and looking forward to the Power Dynamos game.”
Meanwhile, victory for Zanaco could see the Lusaka giants climb back into the league’s top four.
