Zanaco FC will be aiming to bounce back from their humiliating 4-0 defeat to Power Dynamos as they take on FC MUZA this Sunday at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka.
The Bankers are desperate for a turnaround after last weekend’s disappointment, which saw them slip back into the relegation zone.
Head coach Numba Mumamba acknowledges the challenge ahead but sees the match as an opportunity for his team to redeem themselves.
“A tough match it will be against a determined Muza, but this is a chance for us to redeem ourselves and make amends from the embarrassing loss that we suffered at Power Dynamos,” Mumamba said in a pre-match interview.
Despite their recent struggles, the Zanaco coach remains optimistic, believing his side has sharpened up in training and will show improvement against MUZA.
“We have synced the team, and they look sharp in training. We are positive that tomorrow they will do better than what happened in Kitwe,” he added.
With Zanaco now in the danger zone, three points are crucial, and Mumamba is confident his players will rise to the occasion.
“We expect our players to perform to the expectations of everyone. They have the capabilities to give us their best and deliver victory in tomorrow’s game,”he stated.
Zanaco will be under pressure to produce a response, and Sunday’s clash presents a crucial test of their character and ambition.
