This season, Kabwe Warriors head coach Numba Mumamba thinks his club has what it takes to defeat any team in the league.
In a match played on Saturday at Godfrey Ucar Chitalu Stadium as part of Week Six league fixtures, Warriors came from behind to force a 2-2 draw with Forrest Rangers.
Mumamba’s boys have remained unbeaten in the five games they have played so far.
The team is third on the league table with nine points from five matches. The Magificient side has won two matches and drawn three games respectively.
Speaking to journalists after the match, Numba said his current squad can beat any team in the league.
“This team that we have it can beat any team in the league. All we need is to have that belief in ourselves and work hard on the pitch,” Numba said.
“We came back strongly, to force a draw”-Numba.
The former Zesco United manager pledged to address the errors the club committed against Forest Rangers.
“I think at this level we don’t expect players to make such mistakes when you are playing a big game“
“If we had been tactically disciplined, we could have easily won this game, but we gave up the two goals due to our own mistakes.”
“But we came back strongly, dominated the game and created chances and managed to get a draw,”added Numba.
Kabwe Warriors’ next league fixture will be away to face Zanaco in another tough encouter on Saturday at Lusaka’s Sunset Stadium.
