In Saturday’s Super League Week 10 matchup at Nkoloma Stadium, Red Arrows will face winless 13-time Zambian champions Nkana FC with the goal of catching up to pace-setters Zanaco FC.
It could be an exciting contest as Red Arrows aim to extend their winning streak while Nkana looks to win.
Three times Zambian champions, Arrows are in second on the table with 18 points, three points behind leaders Zanaco.
In a Week 9 fixture, Arrows registered a nil-all draw against Nkwazi FC.
Speaking to the club’s media ahead of the match, Red Arrows head coach Chisi Mbewe acknowledged Nkana’s current form.
“The results are not a true reflection of how they are playing. I think Nkana is playing good football; they have got qualified technical stuff, and they have got good players. I think it’s just unfortunate that they are yet to pick a point. Otherwise, they are playing good football,” he said.
“We don’t need to underrate Nkana concerning the results that they have produced in the previous games. We need to work extra hard to collect maximize points,” added Mbewe.
“I think the preparations have been going on so well. And everyone is motivated going into the game,” noted the coach.
This season, Arrows have managed to win five games and drawn three times.
