Mangani Banda, the newly signed Kabwe Warriors goalkeeper, says the support of his teammates and coach has helped him settle in at the club.
Mangani joined the Kabwe Warriors on a two-year permanent contract from Nkana where he was not given enough playing time, prompting his departure.
The 2017 Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations winner told Bolanews in an exclusive interview that he was glad to make his debut for the Kabwe side in the team’s 1-1 draw with Green Eagles.
“I had my debut for Kabwe Warriors in the Super League, a significant milestone in my football journey,” Mangani told BolaNews. “Standing between posts and representing a club with such a history was both an honour and a privilege as we faced the Green Eagles in a tough match. Playing away brought unique challenges, but our team stayed strong and learnt valuable lessons.”
He added, “The unwavering support from my teammates and coach made my debut memorable and I am grateful for their belief in me. I am excited about our upcoming fixtures, especially playing at home in front of our loyal fans.”
Kabwe Warriors will host Nchanga Rangers in their second fixture of the 2024/25 Super League season.
