Makundika Sakala, the former Aguila football Club head coach says his primary target is to assist Kansanshi Dynamos avoid demotion to the lower league with four matches left before the conclusion of the 2023-24 Super League season.
Sakala, who once featured for Zanaco football club resigned from Aguila (National First Division Side) to join the Mabanga Boys as an assistant coach.
Makundika was a key member of Aguila’s squad that helped them win the league in the 2021–22 Central Provincial Division One season before he joined Kansanshi.
Additionally, he helped the team advance to the National First Division of the Zambian Super League during the playoffs.
Speaking to Bolanews in an exclusive interview, Makundika expressed happiness to join Kansanshi and looking forward to helping the team survive relegation.
“My main target here is to help the team remain in the Super league and will fight to ensure we achieve it”
“Am happy to have joined Kansanshi Dynamos and am looking forward to positively impact the team,” he said.
After losing to League Champions in waiting Red Arrows 1-0 last weekend, Kansanshi Dynamos will look to bounce back when they play FC MUZA the following weekend.
To have a shot at staying in the Elite League, the Mabanga boys need to win all four of their remaining games.

With 29 points from 30 games played—six wins, eleven ties, and thirteen losses—Kansanshi Dynamos are ranked 16th on the league table.
