Nkwazi goalkeeper Lucas Mainza admits his side needs to improve and work on their scoring inabilities in their upcoming fixtures.
The police-sponsored side is winless after three matches played in the 2025/26 Super League season.
Nkwazi have managed to draw two matches and only lost one game.
Three games into the 2025–26 Super League season, the police-sponsored team has yet to win.
Last weekend, Nkwazi recorded a goalless draw against visiting Kabwe Warriors in a Week 3 league match at Edwin Imboela Stadium.
To start scoring goals, though, the Nkwazi goalie believes the team needs to improve their striking power.
Mainza, who spoke exclusively to Bolanews, was disappointed with the team’s performance against Kabwe Warriors.
“A disappointing result for us at home against Kabwe Warriors. I think we didn’t play our game against the Warriors. We have not been doing well in our previous matches in terms of picking maximum points, so we need to improve going forward,” he said.
“But that’s water under the bridge, and as a team we just have to start winning, and for us to win, we need to keep a clean sheet and start scoring; that’s what we have to work on,” noted the shotstopper.
Ahead of their forthcoming Week 4 league matchup against city rival Zanaco FC, high-flying Nkwazi is using the international break to correct their mistakes.
