Two Zambian Premier League sides, Konkola Blades and Kabwe Warriors have shown strong interest in acquiring the services of FC MUZA’s striker Biston Banda ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Banda, who still has a running contract with the Mazabuka-based side, has attracted growing attention on the transfer market following a string of consistent performances in last season.
Primiero D’Agosto of Angola is also keeping an eye on him, as is Spartanii Selemet of Moldova.
According to sources close to the development, both Konkola Blades and Kabwe Warriors have officially written to FC MUZA expressing their intent to open negotiations.
“Both clubs are very serious about landing Banda. They’ve submitted formal letters and are now waiting for MUZA’s position before engaging the player’s representatives. The interest from Angola is also genuine, especially from D’Agosto, but for now the Zambian clubs are leading the chase,” the source revealed.
FC MUZA is yet to respond to the letter the two clubs have sent to inquire about the availability of the striker.
Konkola Blades under the tutelage of Under-20 Africa Cup winning coach Beston Chambeshi are looking to reinforce their attacking line ahead of their return to the topflight, while Kabwe Warriors continue their rebuild with hopes of mounting a stronger campaign this season.
