Power Dynamos may be enjoying a seven-point cushion at the summit of the MTN Super League, but there is still confidence ringing in the Red Arrows camp, with striker Albert Kangwanda believing the title chase is still on.
Kangwanda has revealed in an interview with Bolanews that his side is determined to take the league title chase to the wire.
“I think it will go to the wire; we just have to continue working and preparing for each game as it comes,” Kangwanda said.
Power, who are yet to lose a domestic match this year, are top of the pile with 61 points; Arrows are second with 54, while Mufulira Wanderers are in distant third with 45 points.
“We don’t know what is going to happen at the end, so we just have to stay focused and keep working hard,” he said.
His comments were backed by coach Chisi Mbewe, who has insisted that Arrows have a league and cup double target to fight for this season.
“We are happy with the way we are moving at the moment,” Mbewe said. “When we were starting the season, one of our targets was to win the league…[there are] a lot of games to go; we keep on believing and working, we will see at the end of the league.”
