In a match played at Godfrey Ucar Chitalu Stadium in week 10, Kabwe Warriors defeated Green Buffaloes 3-0 to take the top spot in the league table.
Warriors have been playing fantastically this season, winning three straight games and giving the impression that they are unstoppable.
Warriors scored through Mwamba Mutombo in the 12th and 75th minutes and Ocean Mushure in the 70th, minute.
In a post-match interview, Warriors head Coach Numba Mumamba called on the team not to relax despite the good performance.
“It’s a big motivation being on top of the log for the first time after a long time I think it will motivate us going into the other games. We won’t give up; all we need to do is stay committed and keep working hard, and we’ll win games,” said Numba.
Meanwhile, the former manager of Zesco United praised the players’ exceptional performance.
“An excellent performance from the team, from the word go we dominated the proceedings we controlled the game. We deserved to win this game,” said Numba.

Warriors with 21 points have jumped ahead of Arrows, who shared points with Power Dynamos in the other match. Warriors will now focus on their next match against Kansanshi Dynamos as they push for the league title.
