Green Buffaloes Football Club has finalized the loan agreement with Philimon Chilimina, a striker for Chirundu United.
After his heroics, in which he scored eight goals and was the top scorer in the Zambian Premier League National Division League, Chilimina departs Chirundu United.
In December of last year, Zambian coach Wedson Nyirenda called up the attacker to the national squad for the African Nations Championship (CHAN) training camp.
Speaking after signing, Chilimina expressed delight to join the Zambia Army-sponsored side.
He adds that Buffaloes is one of the big teams on the local scene, adding that he is excited to work with head coach Masautso Tembo.
“I’m absolutely delighted to be joining Green Buffaloes, a club that I have enjoyed watching for a long time. This is a very proud moment for me and my family to join a great club like Green Buffaloes. I’m more than happy for this challenge,” he told the club’s media.
“The team is one of the major teams in football, and the coach is among the best. That’s why I’m here.
“This squad is full of the best young players in the country. I can’t wait to meet them and play alongside them. Masausao Tembo is one of the greatest coaches. I’m here to learn from him and improve my game even more.”
Chilimina started on the bench in a Week 21 Zambian Super League match against Zanaco FC and Green Buffaloes at Woodlands Stadium.
