The Zambia Army-sponsored side have won three games from their last five games in the MTN Super League and they have moved to fourth place on the log with only four points behind the league leaders Power Dynamos who have 28 points but coach Tembo says he was not given any target for this season.
He told BolaNews in an exclusive interview that he was given a free role to ensure he improves the team and whatever comes will just be a bonus as he was not given a target.
“When I Joined Green Buffaloes, there was nothing like a target or ‘we want you to do this’ and I am very happy with the command(Zambia Army Sponsors),” he said.
“They just employed me and gave me a free role, and told me that do your work we will support you, so we keep pushing and improving.”
Tembo took over a demoralized team that struggled in the second half of last season as they finished 12th on the log standings despite topping the table in the first round.
The former FC MUZA coach has turned things around this season for the Buffaloes side who have started their 2022/23 season on a high. .
Buffaloes will tomorrow visit struggling Kabwe warriors in a week fifteen fixture at Godfrey Chitalu stadium.
