Green Buffaloes striker, George Ngoma, is optimistic that his team would not be demoted from the Zambian Super League this season.
Buffaloes suffered their 12th defeat of the season in a 3-0 loss to Mutondo Stars, also fighting relegation from the Super League.
Buffaloes have been inconsistent this season occupying 13th position with 36 points from 30 matches played so far.
Nkana, the Kitwe giants, will be the opponent Buffaloes will face in their Week 31 match at Edwin Imboela Stadium in Lusaka.
Meanwhile, according to Nkana FC assistant coach Sipho Mumbi, the three-time Zambian champions Nkana want to win all of their remaining fixtures, including their away match against Buffaloes,
Buffaloes, an Army-sponsored team, need to pick up twelve points from their next four games to have a chance of avoiding relocation.
In a Bolanews exclusive interview, Ngoma said that the squad will remain in the Super League.
“We just have to work extra hard as a team not to lose points in the remaining games, we have to finish on a good note not fighting relegation. Buffaloes is a big team though things didn’t go well with us this season,” he said.
