Fredrick Mwimanzi hopes to be selected to play in the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers in 2026 for the Chipolopolo boys.
Mwimanzi, a defender recently switched from Green Buffaloes to Kabwe Warriors in the second round of the season.
He scored his first goal as Warriors defeated Lumwana 1-0 to storm the 2024 ABSA Cup quarterfinals.
Mwimanzi told Bolanews exclusively that he is looking forward to being part of the Chipolopolo boys.
“That’s my wish and I think just to be ready for that chance all the time as a football player,” “Those are good big games which every player would like to play,” he said.
The 27-year-old is eyeing to win trophies with his club. “Every player’s target is to play for his or her national team and also win trophies,” he concluded.
After 26 games played, Kabwe Warriors are ranked sixth on the log with 38 points. He will face his former side Green Buffaloes in their week 27 fixture at Edwin Imboela Stadium on Sunday.

The Chipolopolo boys will face Morocco and Tanzania in the 2026 FIFA Men’s World Cup Qualifiers this June.
