Forest Rangers end Prison Leopards’ unbeaten run

Ndola based MTN Super League side Forest Rangers FC this afternoon ended Prison Leopards 9 games unbeaten run in the 2022/23 season when they beat them 1-0 in a week ten encounter played at Trade fair Grounds.

Former Zambian national team winger Clifford Mulenga converted a 75th minute spot kick after Quadri Kola was fouled in the box to condemn the Correct boys to their first defeat of the season.

Prison Leopards had not lost a game since March, with a run of 8 wins and 9 draws in the league until today when their unbeaten streak came to an end.

Elsewhere in the Zambian Super League today, defending champions Red Arrows FC played out to a barren draw against Nkana in kitwe to remain at the summit of the table with the 23 points.

Chambishi beat Lumwana Radiants 1-0 as the Solwezi side remains winless on the road this season.

Mazambuka side, F.C MUZA’s impressive run was brought to an end in North-western province as they Lost 1-0 to Kansanshi Dynamos through Gerald Chisha 60th minute goal which was enough to hand the Mabanga boys the much needed three points.

Kabwe warriors and Zesco United ended also played to a 0-0 draw in much which saw veteran coach George Lwandamina up against his former players in Winston Kalengo and Mwape Mwalwa who were on the touchline for the Ndola side.

Nchanga Rangers and Nkwazi wrapped up Saturday afternoon action in the Super League with a goalless in Chingola.

More action in the League return on Sunday with a double header at Sunset stadium which will see the battle of the service men as Green Buffaloes and Green Eagles go head to head in an early kick off before Zanaco and Power dynamos also lock horns at the same venue.
