On Saturday, Kansanshi Dynamos will play Green Buffaloes at Edwin Imboela Stadium in Week 14, Mohamed Fathi’s second game since taking over.
In his first game as head coach, Fathi led Kansanshi Dynamos to a goalless draw against FC MUZA at Solwezi Independence Stadium last week.
Kansanshi Dynamos are 16th placed on the league table with 10 points from 12 games played so far.
The Mabanga boys are searching for their second win of the 2025-26 season away from home.
Speaking to the club’s media ahead of the match, Fathi said, “We are trying to pick maximum points from the next two games before the break. That will help us prepare and make some changes in January,” noted the coach.
The former Napsa Stars boss further said the upcoming AfCON break will help the technical bench and team reorganize themselves.
“It’s good for us and good for the players. And it gives us time to make changes. CAF regulations say no league games during AFCON, and we all have to respect that. We’ll use the break wisely,” added Fathi.
The Egyptian-born coach expects an exciting match against Green Buffaloes.
“I’ve always had good games against Buffaloes,” he said. “If we put everything together, I think we’re going to have a good game. I trust my players; they will put in maximum effort to get a positive result,” concluded the coach.
