Chipo Sondashi, a former FC Muza player, thinks his inclusion in the team will help the Green Buffaloes Football Club reach its objectives this season after making his debut.
Sondashi signed with the Green Buffaloes as a free agent at the start of the season after his contract with FC Muza expired. He was unable to play for the Nyanta Boys, though, because his previous club would not let him go.
However, the Football Association of Zambia’s player status and transfers committee ruled last week that the midfielder is free to join the Green Buffaloes.
Sondashi signed a two-year contract with the Green Buffaloes, with an option for an extension.
He made his debut in last Sunday’s 1-4 victory over the Mutondo Stars, entering in the 65th minute.
‘I want to help Buffaloes win the league’- Sondashi
Sondashi told BolaNews in an interview that he is looking forward to helping the Buffaloes win the league.
“I just want to help Buffaloes, which have stood by me throughout the most difficult period of my career, achieve their objectives, which are to win the league and qualify for the continental.
“We do have the quality…The club is properly structured from management, and even just the quality on the pitch is top-notch. Plus me being cleared, I feel adds quality,” Sondashi said.
The Buffaloes are currently in third place with 18 points after five wins, three draws, and two losses. They have won the league six times, with their last coming in 1981.
On Saturday, the Nyanta boys will host Zesco United in what promises to be an exciting match in Lusaka.
