Fredrick Mwimanzi has renewed his stay at Zambian Premier League side, Zanaco Football Club, with a two-year contract extension, Bolanews has learned.
Mwimanzi joined Sensational Zanaco on a one-and-a-half-year loan deal from Green Buffaloes last year.
The former Napsa Stars defender returned to Green Buffaloes at the end of the 2024-25 season.
He has been superb for Zanaco since joining them, by helping the Mumba Mumamba outfit maintain their top four slot in the log standings.
Zanaco is in second place with 27 points from 14 matches played so far, marking eight wins, three draws, and three losses.
A source close to the player confirmed the contract deal to Bolanews.
“He has extended his contract with Zanaco, and he has signed a two-year contract. There have been other teams who have been chasing after his signature, but the player decided to stay at Zanaco for two more years,” revealed the source.
In a Lusaka derby, Zanaco will face Napsa Stars on 17th January, 2026, following the return of the Super League after a two-week African Cup of Nations (AfCON) break.
