Former Chipolopolo Boys winger Evans Kangwa is set to join Green Eagles Football Club from Nkana, Bolanews has learned.
Nkana and Kangwa have mutually parted ways after less than a season together at the Wusakile-based side.
Kangwa rejoined Nkana in September 2025 after spending 15 years playing professional football in Europe and Asia. However, after only half a season in the league, both parties are believed to have agreed to separate in the best interest of the player and the club.
The former Chipolopolo Boys winger has previously turned out for Arsenal Tula, Gaziantepspor, Qingdao Hainiu and Abha, among other clubs.
Kangwa is currently training with Green Eagles and featured in a friendly match against Zanaco, where he scored the only goal in a 2–1 defeat.
A source close to the player told Bolanews exclusively that Kangwa has not been training with Nkana.
“Evans Kangwa hasn’t yet reported back to Nkana and has been training with Green Eagles. He even played a friendly match against Zanaco last week Friday,” the source said.
“Talks with the Club have been going on well, and he is set to join Eagles. He and Nkana have agreed to mutually separate, and soon he will be unveiled as a Green Eagles player,” added the source.
Green Eagles will face Power Dynamos on Wednesday, 14 January 2026.
